Brianna Sosnowski

Brianna Sosnowski began her dance training at the age of three at DJ’s Dance Studio in Baltimore. She studied tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and lyrical, as well as being a company member. She danced at charity performances and special functions including performances at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Aberdeen Ironbirds Stadium. She was a member of The Catholic High School of Baltimore’s Varsity Cheerleading and Dance Teams during high school. Brianna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Leadership in Special Education and a School Administrator Certification. She currently works as the Staff Development Teacher at Gunpowder Elementary. In her spare time she loves to craft, rhinestone costumes, and organize things. She is excited to begin her 12th year at TMC!

Brook Johnson

Ballet Teacher I Registered RAD Coordinator

Brook Johnson, RAD RTS, began studying classical ballet at the age of four in Ann Arbor, Michigan at The Community School of Ballet under John and Camilla Chiapuris. She has successfully passed all Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) children’s examinations as well as Advanced 1 in the vocational syllabus. She completed her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the RAD and was granted Registered Teacher Status (RTS) in 2015.  With a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan, specifically specializing in working with children and youth, Brook brings a unique perspective on the positive role the arts can play in the development of children.  She has worked extensively with children as a preschool teacher, social worker, mentor, dance teacher, and, perhaps most proudly, as a mom to her three young children.

Cathy Waugh

Ballet Teacher

Cathy was trained by Leslie Gearhart of the Washington Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, The Washington Ballet Company (WSB), and Romanian principle dancer, Istvan Ament.  She was privileged to be invited and dance with WSB as an apprentice prior to deciding to leave the professional dance world to go to college. While in college she was a member of the Old Dominion Virginia Beach Ballet Company. She has enjoyed teaching ballet and dance for children to adults as well as individuals with disabilities.  Her love for teaching led her to become the director of the dance for the Academy of Sports in Atlanta Georgia.  Currently, she volunteers teaching adult ballet for Dance and Bmore. When Cathy is not teaching ballet, she is a graduate school professor in community mental health  and human services and directs a program to connect women in prison with their children.

Genevieve Bolton

Ballet Teacher I Pointe Teacher

A Maryland native, Genevieve gained her formal dance training at Mid Atlantic Youth Ballet under the direction of Nadia Letnaunchyn, where she had the pleasure of performing principal roles such as Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty and The Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker. Genevieve attended high school at Carver Center for the Arts and Technology where she earned the Outstanding Choreographer Award and was honored to be chosen as an All State Dancer. She continued her dance training at Butler University, where she graduated with a BA in Dance Pedagogy. During her time at Butler, she gained invaluable teaching experience and training in a range of styles. She performed in ballets such as The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella, as well as original works. Since graduating, Genevieve  has loved sharing her passion for dance with the next generation. In her free time she loves to play with her dog, Ginger, and try new baking recipes!

Lindsey Hedrick

Accounts and Billing

Lindsey Hedrick holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Towson University. After graduation she performed with "Movement/Addiction" a Baltimore-based modern dance company directed by Renee Barger-Brozic and Sarah Seeley and followed with a move to New York City. While there, she worked with choreographers Isabella Bruno, Aaron Draper, and Beth Soll and studied primarily at the Limon School with Alan Danielson. She was quoted in the NY Times as being a "sure technician" for her performance in Ms. Soll's "Black Flower". After her return to Baltimore, Lindsey worked with Scott Rink, formerly of the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company on a modern dance telling of "Alice in Wonderland". Lindsey most recently danced with Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance Company in Washington, DC completing a highly successful inaugural tour of India and Bangladesh. The Washington Post described Lindsey as "beneficial for both the company and the audience" for her role in Dakshina's reconstruction of Anna Sokolow's "Rooms" and "Dreams" under the direction of Lorry May.

Rio Liu

Lyrical Teacher I Jazz Teacher I Modern Teacher

Rio Liu is a performing artist from Los Angeles, CA and trained as a member of the second Tremaine company under the mentorship of Marguerite Derricks. Rio received his BA in Dance from the University of California, Irvine and has subsequently worked on numerous film and television projects, most recently The Prom on Netflix and Apple TV’s Roar. As a dance educator, Rio has taught and choreographed throughout Orange and LA County and hopes to continue helping dancers take their dancing to the next level.

Sarah Cincotta-Yan

Jazz Teacher I Ballet Teacher

Sarah Cincotta-Yan is a dance professional with over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience. She graduated with honors from the Baltimore School for the Arts with a major in Ballet and Modern dance in 2001. At the age of 16, Sarah trained with the San Francisco Ballet School as a year-round student on a merit scholarship. She also attended American Ballet Theater, School of Hartford Ballet, and the North Carolina School for the Arts. Sarah danced as a soloist with Ballet Theater of Maryland for three seasons. After enduring a tragic ankle injury during her professional career, she underwent successful ankle reconstruction in 2005. For eight years, Sarah was the owner and director of Daycare Dance Institute, a program dedicated to early childhood dance education. In 2009, she toured with Bravo National Dance and Talent competition as an adjudicator. Currently, Sarah is on faculty at The Baltimore School for the Arts, The Moving Company Dance Center, and the John Carroll Preparatory College. She continues to further her craft by attending national dance and teacher conventions to learn from leading choreographers, dancers, teachers and performing artists. Sarah and her husband Chi currently live in Carroll County, MD where they raise their three young sons Henry, Walter, and Stanley.
