Modern Dance emerged in the early 20th Century as a rebellion to more rigid styles of dance. Modern emphasizes creative expression, freedom of movement, and individuality.

Level 1 Classes
Modern 1B (Beginnner)
Monday 4:30-5:15pm
Introduction to Modern dance for beginners ages 7-11 years old. No recommendation or placement required. Students must be 7 years old by 9/1/2026.
Enrollment in 1 ballet class a week is recommended.
Modern 1A (Advanced)
Saturday 12:45 - 1:45pm
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of Modern 1B required, or by teacher approval
Enrollment in 1 ballet class a week is recommended

Level 2 Classes
Modern 2B (Beginner)
Monday 7:00 - 8:00pm
Minimum of 2 years of Modern 1A and a ballet placement of 2B or higher, or by teacher approval
Enrollment in 1 ballet class a week is required.

Thursday 4:30-5:30pm
Minimum of 2 years of Modern 2B and a ballet placement of 2A or higher, or by teacher approval
